I soon found out like many that have the ten round compliant mags how much of a pain to load they are so I came up with this. It's just the hook of a bungee cord that I messed with a bit to fit. Hell it works till something better comes along and it was free.

These ten rounder mags are rediculous. It just seems that it can't be that hard to make a short mag that is easy to load. Other guns have them.

Bug Black Dog Machine to make aftermarket 10 rounders for the 15-22. They are considering it, depending on the demand.

Thumb Savers...

Neat idea!

Another option is a 1" wooden dowel, with a nail sticking out a 1/2" or so. (Just dull the sharp end...) Put the nail in the hole in the follower, and thumb it down easily.

T/C sells a similar device for their 10-round mags for the 22 Classics/Benchmarks, as they are a BEAR to load after 5 rounds are in... Most T/C shooters found a way to make their own for lots less.

By the way, as T/C and S&W have common ownership now, and by me owning both a Classic and M&P15-22, I can see a lot of similarities in the design of the mags.

Of course, the BIG difference in the two is that T/C actually sells a SHORT 5-round mag for their semi-auto 22.

Tight groups.

does anybody know if S&W is planning to release a true 10 rd magazine like they have pictured on their website?

The Customer Service peeps at S&W give conflicting info as they don't seem to know if this is gonna happen or not.

that or just putting the load assist button back on these ones would make my thumbs very happy!

Someone a while back posted that for some reason the load assist button won't work with the 10 rounder.

It makes zero sense why a load assist button wouldn't work with a ten round mag. No sense at all.

Go to 44mag and purchase their 15-22 magazine repair kit. It includes a complete stock S&W 15-22 magazine in parts vs. assembled. Take the kits, which do supply the load assist device, and make your own 10 or 15 round magazines by pinning. It worked for me.
