I've had my 15-22 just over nine years. I shoot steel matches four or five times a month in the summer; less frequently in the winter. I have more than 40k rounds through it and it still functions perfectly. (I have replaced a hammer spring and a firing pin in that time, but that's no big deal -- S&W sent them at no cost. And I have run with a Volquartsen extractor from day one.)
However, in that time I have worn out the lips on five 25-round magazines. I've kept them running by building up the worn lips with J-B Weld. They work, but I didn't trust them. So, this morning I called S&W CS and asked if they'd replace them after all this time. Without a moment's pause Jason said "sure" and asked for my email address so he could send me return instructions. I've just returned from the post office after sending off the old, worn magazines . . .
What a great company to deal with.
