Went to a friends farm to go look for feral pigs but we were told just before we left that there weren't any on the farm. Fortunately the steel and 15-22, along with a bucket of ammo had been lobbed into the car as well, cos shooting is fun.

The two 8y/os got to lob some lead as well but the 14y/o took to it like a duck to water. She had done target shooting off the bench and was proficient with accuracy and basic handling, but she's left handed, but right eye dominant so the controls are wonky for her. This was the first time she'd been shooting it unsupported.

My Gen 1 SBR 15-22 with a legally made suppressor shooting RemingtonSub Sonic. Steel was about 30m from firing position

After some careful transitions and working on cadence I gave her a mag of HVHP and told her to go to town on some 5l jugs full of water. I may have created a monster.

With sub sonic the can is very very quiet, especially outdoors. With HVHP it is much louder, hence the lack or presence of earpro.

Much fun was had by all. Eventually we switched to lemons as biodegradable reactive targets.

1) shooting is fun 2)policing brass in an overgrown field is hard as hell. I appreciate shooting ranges more now.
