Smith & Wessons site now shows the 10 rd. magazine. Just ordered a couple of them. I've been checking their site daily and today's the first time I've seen them listed.

cool grabbed 2 hope these are really shorter mags.

hope there not the ones that are fixed with the blue follower... i'd be kinda upset as the pic would be misleading

Ordered one myself too, now to wait and see. Thanks for the heads up.

I ordered several 4 weeks ago, different part number - the long 10 rounders. I wonder what I'm actually going to get and when?

Dang... Shoulda patented "my design"............

But you know what, I do prefer the curved look of the cut-down ones!

IMO, your mag design looks better than what S&W is offering. The only thing that your mag needs is a Buy It Now button. With tax and shipping, I paid a whopping $28.39 for the new 10rd mag.

Besides the fact that I cannot own the 15-22 hi-cap mags, legally ;), I like the shorty's better. Easier to load, better to bench rest, and they're visually appealing(to me). I prefer 20 rd mags with my SP-1 and HBAR, don't like the added length of the 30's at the bench.
Hi-caps ARE better from zombie removal, admittedly.

Checked with S&W customer service - they don't have the shorties in stock yet and probably won't until sometime in May. The 10 round, blue follower, long version mags are a different part number and are still being manufactured.

Short mags not in stock? Did I miss where S&W displayed the item I ordered was not in stock?

Selling items that are not in stock w/o advising the buyer is on par with BoTach and other 2nd tier outfits.

That said.... it has been my experience that you can get a different answer from each CS rep at S&W about most any question regarding the 15-22. Maybe the CS rep was wrong... who knows.

if its not the shorties in my mailbox, when ever it is that i get them, they will get an earful and pay to return it...

misrepresentation

Tahnks for the heads up, I got a couple too.

I sure hope they are what they show, and that they are in stock. I too will be very upset if they are charging for these without showing anywhere on there site that they are out of stock. I sure hope they are the shortys too.

Like I said in my post, the shorties and the longies are two different part numbers. The part number for the shorty is correct on the S&W web site, so you will get what you ordered.

You are right about getting different answers from CS reps. I'm just passing along what the CS rep said when answering my specific question on the actual availability of the short mags.

I just ordered one also, getting ready to glue the bottom on a cut off 25 round that I'm making into a 10. Wish I would have read this a few days ago.

Good luck on that Rhino57!

PM me if you have any questions, as I've done a whole bunch of 10-rounders by now.

WAY MORE THAN S&W HAS SHIPPED -- that's for dang sure!!!! ;)

S&W is out of these. The guy on the phone told me that they never even had them in stock, but they added them to there site before they even received them. IMO, that is horrible business. Why in the world would you add an item to your site that you dont even have, and get peoples hopes up. He said there are a TON of back orders and they hope they are in, in the next few weeks.

I live in a restricted city so I have to have 10 round mags. So now I have a 6lb plastic paper weight that does me no good.
