I've been lurking here for some time drooling over everyone's beautiful K-Frames. After a couple years of serious searching I finally located the right one for me! I'm ecstatic and wanted to share what I picked up yesterday @ a show in NH. Any information you can share is much appreciated.

Model 19-3 Combat Magnum
4" Barrel
Ser. 7K45608 (1975?)
Special Features: P-1922 (Could someone help me identify this?)
Sold as NEW ($775) Fair?

Included original box, paper, receipt (sold in Dec. 1975), specs sheet, ammo pamphlet, service center leaflet, blank warranty, 3 plastic and 1 aluminum cleaning apparatuses which may or may not have been sold w/ revolver.

I've heard Renaissance Wax recommended often and will plan to use that with light oil to store. I do not plan to fire… only pet from time to time.

Nice! As stated above start looking for a shooter model 19 they are fun to shoot. I found one not quite as nice as yours 2 years ago for 700. on my 70th birthday and my wife talked me into buying it and it goes to the range often.

Agreed. I paid a little more than that to the original purchaser for a similar condition unfired 19-2 snub. It's in the safe. I then bought a well used version for half the price that shoots great!

Good to be you I love my 19-3 4 inch. It's beautiful but not nib. Congrats. Let us know how your next one shoots and we want picks of the 66 when you find it also

I see old George,(original buyer) waited all of a week, and then gave himself (?) a nice Christmas present on Dec. 18th.
Just enough time to "rub her down" and get it wrapped under the tree.

Looks like you are in time for Thanksgiving.

Good pick-up bug, and welcome to the forum.

I will give you a preview of some of the comments that will happen here: USING REN WAX--yaaah !.....NOT SHOOTING-- boooooo!

Bugchucka, welcome to the forum. You picked up a treasure there at a very FAIR price.
Res. wax is good stuff, but I use Johnson's and Johnson's paste way with good results.

As others have posted, now you will have to find a high end shooter grade M-19.

And I would pay the $775 in a heartbeat...bad news though. If you are not going to shoot that one, you have to buy another to SHOOT!

PS. WELCOME!

i don't get it?

Why would buying another one be bad news?
I'd say thats great news, there is always room for another one :p
