1911 Colt & M1911 Knife

Got this new Ultimate Equipment M1911 knife to pair up with
my Colt. But as you can see, the color is a bit off. I'm looking
for suggestions to color the knife panels. The panels are
Walnut. The panels on the Colt are Herrett's Cocobolo.

Wouldn't it be easier to just change the grips on the pistol? The scales on the knife look like standard Colt fare and grips are easy to find and relatively inexpensive. I mean, if they just have to match.

They are easily changeable. But an officer's model, so not quite
as easy to find as the full size. I have contacted Herrett's about
an exact match.
