1911 Pro Series magwell

Can any tell me if the magwell for the 1911 pro series 9mm is part of the mainspring housing or is it a separate piece? I would like to know if I get this pistol if I could remove the magwell without having to purchase a new mainspring housing. Thanks

I am not familiar with your particular 1911 but most 1911s with a factory magwell have a one-piece mainspring housing and magwell. But magwells that are separate from the housing are available from Wilson Combat, probably among other sources. I have four S&W 1911s, three of which came with magwells and another to which I added the Wilson part. They all look and function the same.
