Does anyone here notice any major difference between the full moon and half moon clips in any variation of these pistols, in accuracy or ease of loading these clips into the gun?

I have a 1937 that doesn't like full moon clips. I just don't use the damn clips and its all good!

NFrame, are you refering to cartridges sticking while ejecting them after shooting or something else?

SB, when trying to insert a fully loaded moonclip it fails to go in to the cylinder all the way. (the same moonclip worked in a 625 I used to have)

When loaded with out the clip each round would set in fine and shot fine. I opened the cylinder and the emptys either fell free or only needed a little pull.

Hi All, I purchased some full moon clips a few months ago. A brochure that came with the clips stated that (I can not quote as I tossed the paper) due to liability concerns the clips wer manufactured to some certain spec other than the originals. I hope I'm recalling correctly. Anyway, the loaded clips would not fit into the cylinder. The empty ones did. Posting this just for general info. Regards, Ray

I have an original S&W Model of 1917 & I use full moon clips all the time with it & have no problems with them in any way except for paying for the ammo to re-fill the clips.

What Ford Truck says... 'cept i'm starting to eliminate the moon clips at the range.

Next test is to work up some 45 auto-rim loads

Your experiences and pistol may vary..

I got about a dozen or so steel full moon clips from GunPartsCorp and have had no trouble at all with them in my '37.
IIRC, they were about 75 cents each.

I use standard full moon clips in my 1917 Brazilian with no problems at all.
