A friend sent me that a few days ago, I never had heard of it. It won't be covered in todays history books either you can bet on that!

During the LA riots after the police were acquitted of beating Rodney King the police were pulled off the streets. Something like 50 people were killed. Korean shop owners used AR-15's to defend their businesses.
In 1800's Montana, the Sheriff (Henry Plummer) was lynched for being the leader of a gang that was robbing and killing gold miners.
There have been numerous times in the USA history where plain folks could not depend on their government to protect them.

Most of the people in this area of Tennessee are strong in the way they believe. Which I believe is the right way. To prove this you may need to go to court(Scopes Monkey Trial) or take up the gun(Battle Of Athens).

One thing that struck me about the Battle of Athens is the restraint the plain folks used. No one was lynched. Heck some on the "wrong" side were allowed to live out their lives there.
