I just picked up my pre-27 this evening. This is one of those rare occassions where you actually get more than expected. Not only did the seller throw in a Safariland 101 holster, the gun is absolutely beautiful. My FFL was VERY impressed.

For a 1951 gun, this gun is really nice. Probably nicer than any of my newer S&W's. I'm very happy!

This was my first purchase on GunsAmerica.

Gosh that is a VERY handsome looking revolver. I like that it does NOT have a wide trigger. Congrats!

Thank you. I'm very happy with this purchase. This is the gun that had the Pachmayr grip adapter that I posted about. Nothing under the Pachmayr!

I'm afraid the 27-2 that I just bought isn't gonna quite stack up, but I'm sure it will be nice.

Oh my! You're hooked now for sure. That was my first 5-screw N-frame purchase as well.

It's nicer than my "older" S&W's!

It doesn't get any better than that.

Thanks!

The seller's pictures on GA really didn't do the gun justice and he had the Pachmayr grip adapter installed. He also had very little feedback. I was a little worried, but he turned out to be a great guy. I bet the holster is worth $50+ on eBay. I did a search and there aren't very many N frame holsters of this vintage for sale. The seller bought the holster new in 1978. He'd owned the gun for 35 to 37 years.

Gee whiz, you're darn right it's awesome! Very nice .357 Magnum you have there, and leather to boot! Funny, my first five-screw is also a .357 Magnum, 6-1/2" blue, shipped August 6, 1952. Pictured here with a coupla old Tom Krein knives.

Nice!

You ever go to Yuma? My brother lives there and he's quite a gun nut. He has a LOT more guns than I do.
