I have a very nice(1961) model ruger 44 mag carbine with a bushnell red-dot scope that has been a safe queen for many a moons.I Found a local used M&P 15-22 with 2 mags(25 &10 round) with a BSA sweet 22 scope for even trade,he is asking $600 for his M&P.Sound like a fair trade?coobie

i would keep the ruger, you can pick up a 15-22 for $450 or a 10-22 for alot less and have just as much fun with it. i think $600 for a used 15-22 is to much. just my opinion.

The Ruger .44mag is a very desirable rifle. If you have to sell it offer it up here or better yet on the Ruger forum. Folks are looking for them.

Best, Rick

Whew! Though you would have gotten a great gun in the 15-22, you would have given something of greater value that you would not have as easily replaced.

Things worked out in your favor.
