1978 Model 19 shooter

So I wanted to find a shooter grade model 19 and found this one locally. 19-4 35K serial number. She has some light freckling on the cylinder and a few other spots but still looks pretty spiffy. Newly refinished footballs courtesy of our member Masterbuck54. He did a beautiful job on the stocks. The selling point on this old M19 was the target hammer and trigger. Love the look and feel of this combo. Anyway just wanted to show off a bit.

Very nice score. Miss my snub 19 from years back with the rounded butt. Cost a whopping $180 new back in 78. Hard to believe now that was a chunk of change. LOL

For years I lusted for a 6 inch Model 19, but the only ones I saw were in very high condition had price tags that made me walk away. Why did I even want a 6 inch Model 19? Because I love to reload for my 357's and I could have the sight radius of a Model 14 without having to buy 38 Special brass.
