Nice work Mitch,Glad to see you finally got it in your hands. What are the silver circles around the charge holes? Looking at my TL(non target) and they are not there.

Certainly no expert, but it appears the charge holes have been chamfered for ease of loading.

Dang! First I miss out on a TL Target in the forum classifieds (Lee i.e. handejector got it), and now you show me this. I feel unfairly deprived and bereft. :( But happy for you guys! :D:thumbup:

Kinda what ya call your mixed emotions.

To me, one of the most desirable models S&W ever made. You have a REALLY nice one! Congratulations, Good Shooting!

I respectfully disagree... It is THE most desirable model S&W ever made. If there was ever a gun that deserved the appellation "Grail Gun," this is it. Now to dry the drool off of my keyboard before I short out another one.

Target "Triplelock"

Very nice Mitch, I like the overbuilt revolvers also, especially with target sights. S&W outdid themselves with the Triplelock. You have another Keeper!

My favorite S&W of all time. It doesn't get any better that that. Congratulations.

Mitch,

What a SCREAMER!

There must be a story attached...those just don't pop at out of no where typically. Help us keep the adrenalin rush going with the 'back story'.

See the seam between where the 'white' circles meet the extractor star prongs; they are flush, no chamfer.

My TL chamber mouths look just like that, it's just blue wear from the case rims when fired.

exactly, :)

Mitch, a VERY nice TL Target. You are living right!

Lee,

I am going to wait for warmer weather to shoot this one, but I will shoot it.

Alex,

I am going to say this was a favorite shooting iron in days gone by and it is wear from the rim of the case, not chamfer on the cylinder face.

Jim,

A dear friend of mine is a long time member of the S&WCA and well rounded in Smith and Wesson history and collecting. A friend of his had a collection he wanted him to sell and my friend offered me the chance to purchase any or all if I was interested.

I purchased 3 from this collection and here are pictures of them.

1st was the RM that I posted.

2nd was a King Sighted K22 Outdoorsman

3rd was this TLT

Everyone needs a friend like this. He is always there for the questions that I have about S&W.

Thank you for all your kind words.

Regards
