Does anyone have any experience with the sling or a similar type sling? If so what is your opinion on it?

That looks like a bungee sling. I'm not a fan of the bungees. I prefer Magpul slings. Different colors and adapters for almost any set up. Cost anywhere from $35-$65,worth every penny. Only buy from a authorized Magpul dealer. Make sure to check out some of the previous threads for some more info on slings. Welcome to the forum.

First off,Welcome to the Forum! It's all about individual preferences.I have a two point sling for my AR from Blue Force Gear.It has QD ends on it.If I had a regular rifle with the rings to attach a sling I would've gotten one like yours.

Go to the New Members area and tell us a little about yourself. There are no dumb questions here.Great bunch of guys here with more talents than just firearms just waiting to have their brain picked.

I haven't actually purchased the sling yet. I have just been looking around on different websites looking for something but there are so many different types of slings I don't no where to begin. i know i want a 2 point sling and thinking about getting an end of receiver mount to attach it. This particular sling does come in a variety of colors and I think I like the HK style hooks as well. Only 24 dollars as well but it does not seem to be a name brand. I found it on ARdepot. AR-15 STOCKS (scroll down about 3/4 of the way down the page. I like the tan one)

The bungee type sling has issues. Yeah, it can stretch if you're trying to shoulder the rifle. If you're depending upon it to support the rifle while you're moving, the rifle will be like a pogo stick. Whacking you in many areas whilst bouncing about.

You generally don't attach a 2 point sling at the end of the receiver. However, there's all sorts of ways to rig slings.

Condor gear makes decent slings. Some of Blackhawks slings are OK also. It's a pity no one makes a DIY sling kit: about 10 feet of webbing and an assortment of hooks, quick releases and D or E rings or Chicago screws for terminations.
