I want to replace the stock trigger in my 15-22 with a 2 stage trigger. The factory trigger is not cutting it for me. Does anyone have an opinion of a decent 2 stage in the $100.00 range? Thanks

Oh boy, a trigger question. We all love these.
Ok, so tell us.
Why is the single stage not cutting it for you?
Why do you think a 2 stage will be better for you?
What do you want out of a trigger?

I'm not familiar with a good two-stage trigger in that price range. I have a geisselle SSA in my AR that I really like, but it costs about $200. Rock River Arms makes a two stage that costs about $150, but I don't know how good. I'm not saying it's bad, I just don't have any experience with it.

I was fortunate to find a RRA 2-stage trigger for $75. It was a take off because the original owner didn't like it.

I like 'em personally, reminds me of shooting my M1A which I love. 2-stage triggers are not for everyone. See if you can find one, shoot it for a bit and see if is really a workable solution for your type of shooting.

I just polished my trigger today and ordered some JP springs from Brownells to reduce the pull. Will test next weekend. I have a RRA with a 2 stage trigger still getting use to it. My Bushmaster has a JP trigger in it set at 2.5 and I love it.

I think we need some basic info first. Why do you hate the factory trigger?
Is it the weight?
Is it not crisp enough?
Is it not smooth enough?
What is the planed usage that requires a 2 stage?

Usually people replace the trigger due to A,B, and C. Sometimes having good triggers on guns makes standard trigger feel bad on everything else.

I have a Geisselle SSA in my M&P 15 which I love but I don't want to spend that much on the 15-22. I shoot more accurately and faster with a 2 stage trigger. It's something I'm use to. Nothing wrong with the stock trigger but, at least mine, has a spongy break that's hard for me to follow up with when shooting fast. I don't want to lighten the pull because I want reliability . I practice 3 gun with mine because its south cheaper to shoot and every bit as accurate as my 15. Anyway, I'm sure there are others that prefer the feel, function , and reset of a 2 stage trigger and just wanted some opinions on which one to get on s budget. Thanks

One I agree the factory trigger sucks....

I installed a CMC 3.5# trigger in mine (6yr old G-daughters)...

I love this trigger...it breaks clean and the reset is short...JMO

Ok, Understand now.
You have the SSA trigger in your 15 and want replicate that in cheaper form for the 15-22 because its just a 22 lr.
Sorry to tell you, but you got spoiled by the "G" trigger.
This is why "G" triggers cost so much, cause they are worth it.
If you think you can find a stock 2 stage, with the same feel and action of the SSA, you have it in the 15 you have right now.Not gonna happen or become a trigger mod guy.
Spend the money, your hooked.
Personally, I like their 3 gun.
LOL
Good luck, like I said.
Hard to beat a Mercedes.

Well said... I have 6 ARs and the 15-22... Started out with 1 Geissele and well now i have 7. :)

Lager, you just gave me an idea! I'm going to take the SAA out of the 15 , install it in the 22, and get the G 3 gun for the 15! Yes, it did spoil me and nothing else will satisfy me at this point. You are right about Mercedes too. I wouldn't drive anything else ! Thanks for all of the tips from everyone. Case closed .

Hearsedriver has seen the light !
Now, when you get the 3 gun, tells us what you think about the SSA as compared to the 3 gun.
