Why not be a member and support the organization? its a great time to be had and a lot of people working hard to help add information and research to aid collectors, all brought together on the forums and the symposium.
I thought collecting by myself was fun, but I didnt know what i was missing. The fellowship of other like-minded researchers and collectors cannot be overstated. It really is a great group.

Except for that one guy.....

Geez…I bought my first S&W 2 months ago and now have 7. Been researching SWCA membership and I see the annual meeting was in Tulsa in June.

I live in Tulsa. I didn’t know this existed until the past few days. I missed out…

Hope you decide to join the SWCA and come to next years Symposium in Concord.

So I joined the SWCA and Historical Foundation a few years back. "SmithNut" talked me into it and really, I was glad to join if it furthers the whole Smith and Wesson interest. I do not belong to any other groups or Facebook, X or any of that stuff.
Since Tulsa is pretty close, I agreed to put together a display and attend. What the heck. Had no idea what I was doing, but like so many other things, once you start it kind of rolls along.
Arrived in Tulsa on wed about 1500 to set up and get situated. Was leery as I didn't want to violate any rules possibly drawing the ire of any big-time collectors or SW Royalty. Not having any idea what I was doing.
Well within a couple hours all of those worries had dispersed, and I was having a great time, with new acquaintances, now friends. Ended up being run out of the restaurant/lounge every evening along with a large group of fellow SW enthusiast discussing every aspect of old-new-not thought up yet pistol development. And a bunch of tall tales.

The event was very well organized, informative, secure and most of all fun. I have spent almost 40 years going to training seminars, matches, and banquets. Never in all that time have I met a more altruistic group of people.

However, DO save up your dollars. There are some awesome buys to be had. At this symposium you could have come home with a V-12 block for your Jag or a first year 44 mag ( like I did). You will come home with a bunch of new friends.
