Impressive; the one that went into me did not go thru, and it was at less than 50 yards.

I like a real 'meat test' more than just shooting paper or plywood. Gives you a better idea if the ammo you use will get in and do it's job cleanly.

so u have been shot with a .22lr from a rifle,,, cause from a pistol it doesn't have much velocity.

i know about the plywood cause its i made a plywood stand to staple my target to for sight in,,,, i got 20acrs in the country so i shoot at home all the time

i can tell u that Federal bulk 550 from wal-mart may as well be fmj,,,, it just pencils holes threw the rabbits i have killed with them
 
During WWII's early days when the Brits were worried about invasion and scrambling for anything to arm themselves one of their ballistics experts did a study of .22LR. It was surprisingly effective. Definitely not the "bounce off the chest of real men" a lot of people seem to think.

clearly u don't hunt live game do u:rolleyes:,,,,, a fmj can kill too,,, but it wont be a clean kill in most cases:(

it failed by not expanding and it causes minimal damage to the animal even in the kill zone it took a finishing shot:(

the point of ballistic tip ammo, hollow point ammo, and soft point ammo is expansion for better incapacitation;),,,, the ammo in question fails to make a "clean humane kill":(

even though it was a dumb sarcastic question:rolleyes:,,,, i tried to give the best educated answer i could,,,,, any one else who can explain it better have at it :)
