Very nice anoblefox! I'm 75 and just picked up this Colt .22 LR OMT thanks to a fellow Forum member. I already had the Roper grips ready and waiting. In fact I took it up to our West Virginia cabin and shot it today!

Here's my two current! I've owned others in the past but here is what I have remaining.

1958 Duotone Scout and a… OMM? Or a Trooper? It was sold to me as an OMM but the barrel has been replaced with a heavy barrel and the grips have been upgraded with these Heretts or Sanderson's, honestly no clue. All I know is it shoots lights out and has the best .22 revolver trigger pulls I've experienced. Makes my father in laws 617 seem like it's been soaked in sand!

Dang you guys with your Colt's!!

OK...this is a Smith & Wesson Forum...and even at 76 I just enjoy the heck out of my S & W 22's...from old Outdoorsman (1931), 1947 K 22 Masterpiece, Model 17, Model 34, etc. et. al. ad infinitum....you get the picture.

I used to be a huge Colt collector, shooter, fanatic, but then went whole hog for Smiths, sold all my Colts to fund some amazing Smiths and really never looked back, no sellers remorse....UNTIL NOW, reading this thread and wondering why did I really sell those guns....all good guns.

So...gone but not forgotten:

OMR, 5th series (1969)
Frontier Scout (1963) Gettysburg Centennial
Woodsman Sport (1965)
Peacemaker (1974) 2 cyls (22LR & 22 WMR)

Now that quality vintage Smiths have dried up around here, I just may have to look at some of the prancing ponies again to keep the itch scratched.

Thanks for sharing pics of your fine Colt 22's (and some super nice grips too!).

I too started with Colts and then progressed to Smiths! I'll say my former S&W Outdoorsman was an outstanding revolver! Just the right amount of wear to not feel bad using it, but shot like a champ with a great trigger pull. I do regret letting that one go.

I have a few. This is one of my favorites, and everything else I have has already had examples shown in this thread. Colt Camp Perry! It always makes someone do a double-take when they see it. Great shooter too, it has the best trigger of anything I own.

Now that's cool! You win.
Pretty rare, I have never seen one. How many were made? Anybody know?

Colt .22 Conversion Unit

Haven't seen anyone post one (or 2) yet....

My only Colt .22, bought it in the 70's for $150, I believe it was NIB, it's not anymore. Still have the .22 mag cylinder for it also, as well as the box.

Had a couple of Colt .22 single actions=fun but nowhere as good as my Ruger Single sixes.

LOVED my 1936 Woodsman (With High Velocity backstrap). More fun than my S & W Model 41.

The closer I get to 70 ( I'm real close ) the more I love all my .22's.
When I was coming up I was taught that my double action revolvers should be Smith & Wessons and my single action revolvers and autos should be Colts. I strayed from that some over the years but not by much.
