22shot shells

Haven't tried it, but it should shoot if loading a single round at a time (not using your mag).

I've shot them from a 15-22. They are meant for single shot pistols or rifles as they do not have enough powder to cycle the bolt.

I've not used them from your firearm.

From time to time over the last 40+ years, I've tried them in lots of 22 handguns and a few 22 rifles (bolt action and semi auto rifles).

Each experiment confirmed that they are useless in the real world.

Nevertheless, every 5 or 10 years I'll forget or disregard my experience and buy some more

Then I'll try them and remember my earlier experience and realize I was right all along:

They are useless.

Just my opinion, of course

Beyond useless, in my experience, (granted it's minimal), they won't penetrate paper @ any distance over about 15'.

I wouldnt call them useless. I keep a few around for a 22 rifle we keep out of the safe. I have killed a couple snakes and a few chipmunks with it and it did fine. Granted you have to be inside 5 feet for sankes.

I find it most usefull when shooting a chipmunk off our back deck. A 22 bullet will make a hole in the deck board but the ratshot dosent.

It has it uses but it also has it limitations as well.

yep they work on bats that make there way inside the house. thats fun give it a try. dont forget the hearing protection. easy clean up on sheetrock.

While wearing a good pair of leather work gloves , catch the bat and release it outside. They really help keep the insect population down.

I have fired them in revolvers but not in a semi-auto pistol. Like stated above, they may not have enough charge to reliably cycle the action...then again they might...try it and let us know...

Yep they are useful for small criters at close range even in a pistol 10 to 20 feet. In a pistol at long range you can rememind them not to come back if you don't want to kill them.. Just don't get closer then at least 30 feet or so and make sure the there not looking back at you, you don't want to o get them in the face or eyes.. Thay don't work on bears!!! Don't ask! In any case I never tried them in my M&P .22 but they do work 100% and fuction the slide on my Berettta Model 71 built in 1959 all steel slide with a good grip .. May work with a strong hold on the M&P .22 with a strong hold and well broken in gun.. I have some but no range pass but will try them out when I get one and post..George

We had a couple of sparrows nest inside our church. Couldn't figure out how they got in (it was ultimately found to be an unblocked AC vent), but in the meantime, how to get rid of said flying critters.

I loaned our priest my Sav Mdl 24 ("no, don't use the .410 barrel...") and he nailed both of them with a nice wing shot using .22 shot. The shot that missed the birds made teeny little holes in the ceiling tile that were never noticed except by those of us who knew the story....which, of course, eventually included the whole parish.

He was a heckofa good pheasant and chukar hunter too....when we hunted together, he'd shame the rest of us with his long shots, including quail using my aforementioned .410....
