So, where would I look to find Weatherby brass?
A friend of mine is looking for some, and I don't
know where to look for some. He uses it for a wildcat
round, and has run out of ammo.
Thanks in advance,

" He uses it for a wildcat round, and has run out of ammo."

Maybe I woke up even slower than normal today, but don't wildcatters
usually reload? How were the loads originally assembled?
Once I cut off, form and ream brass to a new cartridge, I sure as
shootin' am not going to throw them away. They reload just fine.

I'd be interested in more details. Weatherby wildcats are about as
out there one gets. I love those guys who do it and am fascinated
by the rounds and their contribution to the mainstream.

BTW Mike Bellm just noted that the latest Handloader has an article on PO Ackely and his rounds.
Here is his reply to it:

The aside penalty for owning a wildcat is feeding it no matter the cost.

The gent that bought my 240 WBY also bought all my ammo and brass.
The 240 WBY is sort of a 30-06 case with a belt.

And yes any WBY brass is expensive. I sold all my WBY's except for 2 old German 300 Mags. At the end I was resizing the 257 WBY and 7MM WBY brass for my 270 WBY. I pitched all this when I sold the 270 WBY. In a pinch I could blow out some 300 H&H for my 300 WBY.

The 240 is an expensive orphan.

Folks, thank you for the help! The originator of
the "wildcat" is no longer with us, and his son wants
to carry on. Sort of a tribute to his father.
Although I am not close to this man, I do like him
and his reasoning in this search. Many thanks for the help!
