That revolver was probably manufactured in 1973

Since I already own several 27s. I would be looking to buy in the $750 price range. That presumes that the box, tools and paperwork are all missing

Its just the gun and sorry but I'm going to work out a deal with him, just wanted a solid price so I'm not trying to rip off a friend
I am not certain that I understand your post here

Are you implying that I am instructing you to rip someone off?

What are you sorry for?

You asked for a value, I told you what I would be looking to pay if I were buying the firearm in question.

You have not completed your profile, so we do not know where you are. In South Florida clean revolvers can be found in this price range on a regular basis in the many pawn shops and gun stores that do not use the Internet.

mine is N186 1974 and in near perfect condition. nothing but the gun. i gave $850 for it about a year ago.

I'm sorry I was not trying to say anything bad I thought you were offering to buy so I apologize and not saying you are trying to rip someone off I was just stating I was curious so I don't try to rip him off,I think its just misunderstanding and I thank you for the replies

1. The 5" is my favorite but the shorter 3.5" version is sexier and that's the one that commands big bucks in the used market.

2. No box and 90% takes it out of the realm of high priced collector guns.

3. Prices will vary wildly and all you will get is guesses. If it were my friend asking me what I would offer, I would offer $650. A good price for me, not a rip off offer, and if he thinks that it's worth more then let him name his price and let the buyer decide. My guess based on what I've seen selling around here is $700-$900 so my $650 offer assumes I get the "you're a friend" price. He might figure I'm not that good a friend...
