My Old Farts Gun club had a swap meet Wednesday. I bought this 27-2 N165xxx for $500. :D:D:D

Man, did you get took! How do I join this club?? :D

The High Standard Supermatic is a very nice acquisition. Citation is an upper level quality.
If 1968 production, it should be a mod 106 or mod 107.
"Mod #" is HS speak for the S&W equivalent of dash #.
Rimfire Central has a very good forum section dedicated to High Standards.
Enjoy, Kevin G

It has Military 107 on the right side of the frame. I have been on Rimfire Central.

Is there a waiting list to join you club :)

Two excellent guns at excellent prices.
How hard is it to stop grinning :)

I have not stopped grinning yet.

The guy selling these was selling them for his very old father. I tried to tell him that he could get more for them. He insisted that that was what his father wanted for them. I did not argue any more.

I forgot to mention that the 27-2 came with the box, cleaning kit and papers.

You done GOOD to say the Least!!! I never did get my 27, when I was looking for 1. (none yet to this day) I did end up with a 6", 28 no dash though. 1960 gun, and glad to have it. Enjoy your beauties! Bob

The one time in the last three years that I did not go to this meet. Of course my brother Louisiana Joe always runs in ahead of me so it probably wouldn't have mattered.

As much as I love my 27-2 Smiths, I cherish my old HS Supermatic Trophy with a 7 1/4" fluted barrel. I used it back in the early 70s in club BE matches against guys with model 41s that I could not afford at that time. Did I beat all of them? No. But, I beat some of them. You have two great guns suitable to hand down to your grandkids. Great score!
