I have a 4" M28 and like it a lot, didn't swap it for a 5" M27. This one looks beautiful.

Yep, the elusive 4" 27-2, and a nice one at that. Had one once upon a time but let it go. That was before I knew what I had.

That 1 is a BEAUTY! I have a 28, 6" no dash. Wish I had a 4' 27 or 28. Bob

Love the 27-2 with 4" barrel

I got mine off of Gunbroker back in 2011. It was an Alabama Bureau of Investigation trade in with 3 others. The other three were recessed but not pinned. Mine dates to about 1980. I paid $485 for it and it had some bluing wear, a little endshake and a property number electro etched on the inside frame below the cylinder. I sent it back to S&W in 2015 and had it reblued, fixed the endshake, retimed it and buffed out the property number. Then I added the Culina grips. I now have around a $1000 in it, but I sure like to shoot it and look at it.
