I am curious what all of your experiences are with recent (past 1-2 years) firearms purchases through what card companies.

My understanding as of late is a lot of card companies are categorizing purchases. Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops (same ownership/group now - they merged several years ago), for one example, regardless of merchandise purchased, will even be a flag of some type.

The interesting thing is - the flagging is, if not directly violating our 5th amendment rights (by way of unlawful search), it is surely paving the way for it to be way too easy.

At the end of the day - when making firearms related purchases - are there card companies people have had better luck with than others?

If the Canadian Truckers with their paypal accounts being locked and prominent conservatives around the world being locked out of their bank accounts/de-banked entirely (Nigel Farage being one) has taught us anything - those in the banking world want to squash freedom - the exact opposite of the 2A. I am not sure I would trust any of the card companies, period. Maybe others here have more thoughts on the subject?

I don't know too many gun sellers who don't take cash. That would solve any issues of paying with a card. I think a lot of mail order places will take a money order also. It's not the most convenient but if you're worried about someone keeping a list, that might be your answer. I haven't had any issues with gun purchases using several cards. Plus I'm on so many lists, what's one more?

Has this happened to you?

I get what you're saying.

How do you fill out an online order that is modeled entirely around the convenience of a "card run" with cash, a money order, check, crypto currency, etc?

Not that paypal or vemio are any better, but even a lot of places went that direction in addition to the conventional "card run".

So that brings me right back to my post - for processing that requires a card - is there one that we can exercise our 2A without our 5A violated (by way of the categorizing and tracking of purchases by said questioned "card companies" - either by vendor category or merchandise category, or both)?

Is it your thinking that the governments, banks, and card companies are run by different people?

Everytime I have used my credit card to buy a firearm I have exercised my 2nd Amendment rights. That is what has enabled me to buy the firearm.

A private company can't violate my 5th Amendment rights. Nor any other for that matter.

You worry about a credit card company but everytime I buy a firearm from a retail store I have to fill out a Government form to do so. They already know!

Now when I buy the foil for my hats I think they are reporting that.
