I hope the NRA would sue the people proposing Unconstitutional laws for breaking their oath of Office. i would gladly contribute to that fund.

It has to be done selectively when possible to set the most effective precedents and widest sweeping decisions. The first suits are the most important ones. Wish there was a direct fund for that purpose.. I'd gladly donate as well.

That is not a bad complaint. There is some fluff in it that won't get huge amounts of judicial sympathy, but then those points aren't there to kill the bad legislation as much as to force the defendants to acknowledge and try to justify preposterous distinctions and foolish standards that they did not realize were foolish and preposterous at the time they were enshrined in law.

The stuff about unconstitutional vagueness is right on target and, I think, quite powerful. I thought from day one that this was the Achilles' heel of the NY laws and a good basis to attack the legislation. I am glad to see it so prominently featured in an early lawsuit.

I hope this challenge can be fast-tracked. It would be nice if a judge found enough merit in it to block the legislation while the issues are briefed and argued.

Take heart, New York. The good guys are on the case and the morons are in denial.
