Was out yesterday at local gun shops delivering flyers for the range, and I just had to look around. Lo and behold, I spied what turned out to be a 36-1 with 3" barrel. S/N is 764xxx. It isn't perfect, no box or tools, but I just want it for a shooter. It'll do that.

I pondered it overnight, and went back and swapped a no-lock 642 for it. Dealer and I are both happy.

He also has a nickel Model 13 (forget the -) with a 4" bbl that would look nice with my 3" nickel 13. That one have to wait (I hope) a week or so, though.

Saw a flat-latch 36 at another shop yesterday, too. So many Smith's, so little money...

Nice piece. I have a "thing" for 3" revolvers. Picked up a M37 in similar condition some time ago, just because there are not many around.

I have a shooter like that. It's my favorite knock around carry gun.Small and light, but big enough to get the job done.It replaced my stolen 3" 65.I sure miss that gun.

I'm hoping I can keep it hidden from my wife - she will confiscate it!!
