While inspecting and cleaning various guns in my safe, I noticed these 3 dash 3 "K" frames, and how they each had special wood target grips that the Smith&Wesson factory used to offer as an option back in the day along with the standard Walnut grips. If I had only known back then, I would have ordered lots of pairs of these various wood grips, as they are sadly a thing of the past. Fortunately we have several grip makers today who still offer these various hardwoods in different styles for our guns.
Top to bottom: Model 19-3, 357 mag, Rosewood, Model 17-3, 22lr, Birdseye Maple and a Model 16-3, 32 S&W Long, Goncalo Alves.
