aka: 3" fixed-sighted Scandium 66. No lock of course. I think a Scandium K frame would be the cat's meow for a lightweight 6-shot .357!

You want this, don't you.

Only in SC/TI frame with SC/TI shrouded 2 piece barrel.

Yup, pretty much. Is that a shrouded 65 or a sightless 66? (or a de-labeled Ladysmith 65?) I also like Engine18's idea of airweight with one piece barrel. It'd still be much lighter than the steel 65.

3 inch pistol

Robotoid,
what is the model number and dash number inside the crane?
The was a 3 inch shrouded 65 called the huntersmith, is that it?Thanks

It's a 65-5 custom, it had a 4" barrel that I had replaced with a 3" Ladysmith barrel from Brownells and then polished the barrel to match the frame. No, Brownells doesn't have the barrels anymore unfortunately.

Yup.

Now that they already make the Night Guard series in a K frame, all they need to do is lengthen the barrel. I'd like to see a 3" and a 4".

They're discounting the NG315 do to lack of sales from what I understand. They should have make a NG366/319/313/365 or whatever they want to call it but gives us back a K frame .357!

Hey Combat Diver, not to hijack my own thread, but are you answering from A-stan or are you home now? My kid is headed over in a couple of weeks and says where he is going there will be NO internet access.

Jon,

Still in FOB Salerno in Astan. Some of the smaller outlaying areas do not have internet but the larger ones do. Depends on where he is going. Tell him "God Speed and to watch his six"

This is an L frame instead of your desired K frame, yet this is what you want...

second from top, Smith 386SC Mountain Lite, action job, chamfered holes, removed lock flag, Cylinder and Slide extreme duty rear sight and removed hammer spur. A tack driving 19 ounce 7 shot .357!

It is a seven shot, and that is an XS standard dot on the front. My point, you can make one, sort of...

That Mountain Lite would be a great trail gun, even a home or camp protection gun. But the 7-shot L is still too bulky for concealed carry in my opinion. I'm holding out for a K frame, but I'm not holding my breath.

I want one too, except I want tritium night sights thats are low like the fixed are now. I don't want regular fixed sights or the high viz stuff. I don't like adjustable sights on a ccw piece and its time to upgrade the fixed sights to something modern.
