30 Super Carry jammed on disassembly

Hi All. Newbie and first time gun owner. I have a new EZ 30 Super Carry w/out thumb safety. When I was field stripping it in order to clean/oil it before first use, I inadvertently pressed the grip safety when sliding the slide off the rail (as the instructions say NOT to do this), and the slide jammed. I have tried strongly tapping the rear of the slide, but it won't budge. The takedown lever will not slide back up. There was not a magazine inserted when it got jammed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Dan

Hi Dan, sorry you have this to deal with. My S&W autos are all earlier models so I dont have experience with this one. It might help to take it back to where you bought it and see if they have any ideas. Maybe someone on Youtube has had the same issue and posted about it. The factory should be able to help too with hopefully just a phone call and not a return for service.
