Regarding the link posted about the .32's

Why the French passed on the Browning Hi-Power 9mm and adopted this pistol is a mystery. After deadly trench warfare during World War One, perhaps they decided a pistol just wasn’t important."

Perhaps some of the 65 million rounds for the unused Pedersen Device were given to the French.

I have a box of the Remington and 8 French made rounds in my collection.

Full boxes of the .30 Pedersen ammo from WWI are not rare on the collector market. And it seems that the French were impressed by the cartridge enough to adopt it for pistol and SMG use. There are quite a few other handgun .30 cartridges which were not mentioned in the article.

But it sorta worked for Bad Bad Leroy Brown! At least until he hustled Willy McCoy.

I don’t feel undergunned with my stainless K-frame 327, but I guess I’ll have to be more serious about shot placement with the 32 HE snub.
