1/4 to 1/3 of the (very accurate) shots from my H&R 732 Sidekick keyholed into paper. Fiocchi 97 Grain FMJ.

I'd suppose this is due to the sloooow muzzle velocity of this round from a 2" revolver? First time I've fired this one.

I was surprised at the accuracy at 7 yards, DA and SA. I understand that this is a very usual round for overseas target shooters.

I doubt that the overseas target shooters use FMJ ammo. You're
probably right about the reason you're getting keyholes from your
short barrel. Make sure that you don't get a bullet stuck in your barrel
from the low powered FMJ ammo.

Probably so. Try shooting some 98-grain RNL or WC bulllets from your 732. I have an H&R 733 2" barrel and like it a great deal. These work well with wadcutter ammunition. If you place these in someone's face or forehead at 21 feet,(3 yards) they can plant their head firmly between their legs and kiss their arse goodbye!

(We'll never miss them)!

just wondering but.....

Have you tried any other ammo in this handgun?

.........21 feet,(3 yards).........

Methinks your basic arithmetic skills need a bit of polishing!!!!!!!

Roccaas,

FMJ bullets really have no place in revolvers. Try some other ammunition and see what happens. Fiocchi has a 98 gr. HBWC that is far more appropriate.
