327 weight differences

I'm looking at two 327 models and wondering how the weight differences are so significant:

1" barrel difference but does the titanium cylinder really weigh that much less then a stainless one?

Even comparing the 327JM (29oz) with the 327 M&P R8 there's a 7oz weight difference!

They may be including the upper rail for optics in the overall weight. I can't tell what the barrel shroud is made of, it may be stainless to hang lights and scope off of. Maybe S&W customer service could tell you, or leave an email and wait to hear back.

Yes the Ti cylinder is that much lighter.

About 10-12 oz difference, I have shot the 327 M&P and I like it. I have not shot the 327PD. The lighter the weight = more recoil.
