I thought I knew this but am unable to to unscrew this. I have the proper tools but can't budge it. So is it left hand or right hand threads?
I am soaking it in Kroil at the present.
Thanks

Left or Right hand threads?

Please accept my apology for making an assumption even if its the incorrect one. You will be well served to insert at least three if not six spent .22LR casings into the cylinder to support the star and prevent shearing the two small pins installed as guides for the ejector star as it re-seats into the cylinder.

Thanks Sam, I did know that. The Kroil worked and it came apart fine when I turned it the correct way.

For my continuing education... is there a year when S&W went to left hand threads on all cylinders or was it a gradual cut in depending on the model? If a year, what year would that be? Thanks!
