I am looking for a reduced load for 350 grain hard alloy bullets to shoot in a Ruger No 1458 Win Mag. I am interested in using Unique or similar powder. I already have the trail Boss formula figured out.
Right now I only need data for 350 gr hard cast bullets as i have a lot of these that i shoot in 45-70.
I would appreciate any help.

I load for my .458 using hard cast bullets and 3031 powder. I'm not home so at this point I don't have access to the exact data. The loads I use come straight out of the Lyman reloading manual. I will look it up when I get home.

When I purchased the rifle, a Winchester Mod 70, I bought a set of dies and 100 pcs of new brass. I have been reloading that same brass for 30 or so years.

Thanks

Thank you both for the info. If you'd like to PM me with load data, that will be fine. I have 50 rounds of brass myself, I figure that's all I'll ever need.

Might I suggest 5744.
This is a very easy to ignite powder that is much slower than Trail Boss.
It is also designed for reduced power loads in big cartridges.
Accurate lists a range of loads for a 400 grain cast bullet in the 458.
Their start load is 46 grains for 1900 fps.
Their top load is 51 grains for 2170 fps and full pressure (60 kpsi).
These would be safe with a 350 although give more velocity.
You can subtract as many grains of you want to go slower.
In the 45-70 their 5744 loads go as low as 25 grains under a 300 grain cast bullet for 1351 fps
so you can see you have a lot of room to maneuver with 5744 and the big cases.
