I bought my 9mm Shield for $359, but this is as low as I've seen the .40. S&W SHIELD 40SW 3 1/8 BL 6&7RD 3DOT [SW180020FC] - $359.95 : Lanbo's Armory, Firearm Accessories and Tactical Gear I don't know anything about the company.

My LGS has the shield for around $479 in 9mm and 40sw. A considerable savings.

The last several times I have been to our local Academy, the gun cases have been packed with guns, so I am thinking prices might fall a bit once the Christmas buying rush has passed.

Mine was $429.99 on sale. It was $20 off. They sell for $449 where I am. the Springfield XDs sells for $599.
