Approximately when was this one built 36 No Dash, SN 301744. New Price was 111.00.

The J as written on the box (and stamped on the bottom of the grip frame) is part of the serial number. I would guess it if from the mid-1970s. One of the local J frame experts will get you closer to an exact date.

I don't find many near yours in the database. Ones I did find
suggest 1975.
