38/44 Heavy Duty DOB

I just purchased a well used but not abused 38/44 Heavy Duty. It is sporting a rather odd looking brown/grey patina but the mechanicals are tight and positive.

I am looking for the DOB on this revolver, SN is S 95789.

S95,000 – S102,999….…..Late 1953 – Early 1954 (manufacture)
I do not have any shipping dated serial numbers very close to your SN on my list, so I cannot do any better on a date than the foregoing.

1954-does it have a 4 or 5" barrel?
