Picked this up recently on a popular auction site. I'll be getting better/more pictures in the next couple of days. Just to excited to wait to post them.

It's got some finish issues but makes it an excellent shooter. Believe the serial (54XXX) puts it being manufactured around 1938. Planning on getting a factory letter to go with it.

It's a 6.5" .38/44 Outdoorsman. It's got a humpback hammer (HBH). It's wearing post war diamond magnas. It also has a King front/rear sights.

BTW if you have a N frame with serial number 191038, I have your post war diamond magnas.

The front sight seems to be missing the gold bead. Anyway to repair that?

It could have shipped anywhere between 1938 and 1940. There is little correlation between SN and shipping dates during that period. But the table indicates a 1938 manufacture (the table is not necessarily correct, as I show one SN close by which shipped in 1937). The letter will tell you the exact shipping date, but not a manufacturing date. HBHs were options, and the letter should state if it left the factory with one..

Filled out the Mr. Jinks form today and stuck it in the mail. I'm thinking I should have done my Heavy Frame Target too.
