I was wondering about a value for a break top 38 s&w nickel, 3 in barrel with the pocket holster, and suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

A suggestion: if you want any answers, add a serial number and a few GOOD pictures.
So true... I bought a worn but nice nickel one last year for about $150. Saw a beautiful engraved example yesterday at an auction. Had with pearl grips. It sold for $1100.

Is that the squezzer in the other thread you gave as
"38 s&w 5 shot break open serial #562"

If so, that is an old one, 1887, and we will sure appreciate pictures.

Some of the old time patent holsters are collectable, too.

There are nearly a dozen different S&W models/changes that are top-breaks and use 38 S&W cartridges. As others have said, we can not help you without specific information about the gun, plus photos are a must in order to estimate values. Finish type, barrel length, serial number, percentage of remaining original bluing or nickel, hammer or hammerless, type of stocks, trigger guard or spur trigger, type of sights, etc. all would be a great help.
