Hello all,

I just purchased a new 38 bodyguard without the laser. I’m not a fan of the gray small grips. I am a fan of wood and blue. About every gun I own is blue steel with wood grips/furniture. These new 38’s have that small pin at the bottom of the grip. Is there anyone making a wood grip for these new 38 bodyguards?

Thanks,
Kevin

I'm not finding any wood grips. Grip sleeves, grip extensions, grip adhesive overlays. No wood.

And welcome to the forum. Sorry we have so far been unable to help you.

First of all, welcome to the forum from North Carolina. I know you probably don't want to hear this but I would suggest that you trade that 38 Bodyguard for a 642 or 442. In my opinion you will have a much better gun and your choice of grips are practically unlimited.

I got a couple AmexEx gift cards from my employer that I used to purchase it so I’m not into it for much. Looks like Hogue is making the only grips for it….now just to choose one.

Just a bit of nomenclature for you: The proper use of the term "Furniture" as it applies to guns.

While household furnishings, commonly referred to as furniture, are typically made of wood, this is not the case with firearms! While rifle/shotgun stocks are made of wood, as well as pistol grips/stocks, they are not furniture! The term "furniture" as used with firearms applies to the items added to the stocks which finish or furnish, the stock after the woodwork is done. The term "furniture" as applies to firearms refers to items such as butt plates, trigger guards, stock plates, wedge plates and barrel wedges, and similar. As it applies to such as pistol/revolver stocks/grips the furniture consists of the stock escutcheons and screw and any other metal decorations attached to the wood parts.
So now you know!;)

Sorry but I can't help you with wood stocks for your bodyguard, but this will probably be an item you will have to arrange with a custom stock/grip maker. I doubt if there will be much demand for wood stocks for that model.
