I bought a brand new 38 bodyguard revolver (the one with ambidextrous release/no external hammer) I dry fired it (nice smooth pull for the price!) and with the trigger held back...I looked for the fire pin to estimate if I would be plagued with lite hits/unreliable ignitions. I saw no firing pin, just the hole it would protrude from! Does anyone know if the firing pin on this model retracts after firing even when the trigger is held back (I am guessing this is what is happening, as a Korth moongoose does) ? I dont want to take a day off and go to the range to determine this (waste of time)
please be sure you gun is UNLOADED before trying this and let me know
thanks, stay healthy and safe!

firing pin

First off I strongly suggest you go to the range or wherever and practice shooting that thing, I love mine for pocket carry but I needed to know how it shot., your firing pin is in there, should be seen like this...

thanks! my range time is very limited and far from me, I can see mine too but when I pull the trigger and hold it (the trigger) back, it does not protrude at all from the frame at all (every other revolver I have does until you release the triger) so I doubt it is coming out at all.
