Hello,
I'd like to know which OAL you use with .38 Smith & Wesson (not .38 S&W Special!) and Hornady 148 LWCHB bullets.
If you have some good target loads with 148 LWCHB or 148 DEWC and Winchester 231, Hodgdon HP-38, IMR 700-X, Vihtavuori N310, Vithavuori N320, please share them with me too!
Thanks in advance.

I've loaded lots of 148 grain HBWC's in .38 S&W. I use a COL of 1.11 inches, which leaves the bullet about half way out of the case. With HP-38 powder, I use 2.4 grains for solid frame revolvers and 2.2 grains for top-break revolvers. If you like full caliber holes in your target, this is the way to go. These loads have worked well in my guns, but obviously I can't guarantee their safety in your guns.

The Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook has some data on VV N310 for .38 S&W, but I have not tried it.
