I'm going to pick an all matching Victory next week s/n 468012 and have a question. There is no U.S. Property G.H.D. Stamp on the top strap. There is a "P" on the frame in the upper left. Also, there is a flaming ordinance stamp on the bottom of the grip. Hopefully, the pics will help. Could this be a DSC revolver? Thanks.

.... Could this be a DSC revolver? Thanks.

Yes, it almost certainly is, and a pretty nice one too.

A statistically less likely possibility is that it went to the US Maritime Commission.

Since both got the identical markings (ordnance bomb and P proofs only) by the time of your serial in late 1943, only a history letter could tell you for sure.

I agree with Absalom, and I would have to request a history letter. Many of these went to police agencies or company security units, and they can lead you down some interesting research bunny trails.
