I have a new female student who recently purchased a .380EZ that I am trying to find a good price on practice/ Remanufactured (possibly)ammo. Anyone got a good source? Any and all suggestions welcome. Tom

Check out Precision One, I use their ammo for EDC but they have good prices on remanufactured too.

Plus on the Freedom Munitions. 100 gr FMJ under $12 a box of 50!!

They shoot great out of my Glock 42 and Ruger Security 380!

Price is good. Quality is better. Some of these re-manufacturers have a long history of producing ammo which blows up guns. Google away!

I prefer to may a little more and buy ammo made in a major ammunition plant, foreign or domestic.

I'd never bought from Freedom Munitions until I posted a question about it here.

Many use it and never had a problem.

In see you are over in Cedaredge, which limits OTC options a bit, but I have noticed that Big R and Murdoch's have pretty good current prices.

SGAmmo has 380 FMJ from MagTech, S&B and Winchester and PMC at prices that range from $.32 to $.36 per round. To get the lowest possible price your student would have to buy a case. But even at $.35 when purchased in 50 round boxes that is still cheaper than anything except 9mm and 22.

I have used 9mm practice ammo from all those manufacturers without any failures. But with a Gen 4 Glock 19 the WWB barely dribbled out of the gun sometimes so I don't use it anymore. It was OK in other guns but seemed to be loaded on the weak side. Unless there is a screaming good deal on WWB I usually go with a different brand.

Lots of people have reported good results going to ammoseek and buying from whoever is least expensive but I prefer to go with companies that have been around for several years and have a good reputation. Primarily sgammo but sometimes targetsports. Their prices are competitive and I trust both companies.

depends on how reliable it must be. Miwall's price is usually good - depending on shipping. It was reasonably accurate. However I had some failures to fire (G42) out of 500 rounds.

Haven't looked lately but the last time I did check ammoseek for .380 there was some steel case, copper jacketed bullet ammo at very good prices. Apparently non reloadable Russian mfg. I would buy those over any reloaded ammo. Winchester flat nose FMJ is pricy and underloaded and best avoided.

Freedom Munition's special (above, sadly out of stock) is not reload/reman ammo...

Years ago they had new 380s with XTPs as well: every bit as good as the OEM Hornady version.

Give them a try: while not as BIG as Federal or Winchester they produce, IMHO anyway, a lot of quality ammo.

Cheers!
