I have wanted one of these for a long time, but always seemed to get sidetracked with other projects. I decided I must have a single stack 9mm that wasn't a tiny pocket pistol, but something I could carry and use at the range. And a plastic gun isn't an option for me. I know they many work great, just don't care for the looks, and really just don't want a plastic gun.

I narrowed it down to a S&W 3913 Lady Smith or a Sig P239. I eliminated the regular 3913 because I didn't want the safety and decocker on both sides, and I prefer the rake/angle of the dust cover on the Lady Smith, and the gray grips :)

After much research I decided I would buy whichever I got a better deal on first...the 3913 LS or the Sig P239.

Today I just picked up a 3913 LS on gunbroker for $382. How did I do?

I'd say you did great!!!! I'd have paid that and more if I were looking for one. Yours seems/looks to be in great shape. Congrats. S&W did a fine job with their 3rd Gen compact carry pistols, of which the 3913LS is a great example.

Sir I am going to have to place you under arrest for robbing that seller (read as: You did very well.)

Actually what you have is a 3913NL. Actual Lady Smiths had Lady Smith printed on the right side of the slide. Everything else is the same. BTW 3913 NL stands for Non-Lettered. I have one just like it I bought new about 1993. Great gun!

Good deal. Looks very clean. The 3913 is slimmer than the 239. Great buy! Congrats.

You got a 3913NL in excellent shape for only $382 ??? How did you do? Two words come to mind: HOLY and SH&T

Well done. Savor that one cuz it won't happen often.

Yes, it is an NL. I was so excited at the deal, I didn't even realize it! That's what I actually wanted to begin with after doing my research and reading this article online about the NL by Dean Speir a few months back:

The Gun Zone -- Smith & Wesson 3913NL

Excellent deal on an excellent gun. I love mine, know you will too. By the way, I think I also "stole" mine for $375 OTD as a consignment at a local shop. Most I see are $500 plus.

Kiss my *** !!!!!...... : )

Did you buy a lottery ticket too yet ??????????????

Haven't seen one of these in that shape go for less than $500-$600 +++ in a while.

Excellent choice! I have both the Sig P239 in 9mm and the S&W 3913 in 9mm and they are both excellent guns and easy to carry. I like the Sig's decocker and no external safety but the 3913 is slimmer, lighter and easier to carry. Both are reliable and easy to shoot but the Sig is easier to take down to clean. I'm glad I have both!!

You're gonna want to remove that live auction link--it's a "no-no". Just a little heads up...unless it's not caught before the auction ends in the next few minutes.

There were only seconds left when I put it up. I thought by the time the post came it would be over. Forgot about the 15 minute rule on GB. Someone bid again in the last seconds and reset the auction to 15 mins. Sorry, my bad. But it's over now :)

Wasn't trying to give you a hard time, just trying to help you avoid an infraction. Speaking from experience. ;) and yes you got a steal on that 3919 :p
