Found myself with 1hr to go before the range closed and knew it takes 20-30min to get there. I was a mad man.
Anyways....

I only had time to put through 100rds. 50 Speer Lawman 115gr and 50 Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P. BTW, is +P OK in this gun- no biggie if it isn't. I'll switch.
I think I can get use to the DAO trigger. It stages nicely with a pretty clean break.
Haven't shot a single bullet in 9 mos. I was rusty and there was a bit of flinch. I'll borrow a buddies .22 to help sort that out.
No issues of any kind- didn't expect any...but always nice to know you don't have a lemon.
I am only on 5hrs sleep, but I am confused a bit.
I thought it was 8+1. Therefore I'd load 8rds rack the slide then I put in another bullet to 'top off'. When I went to feed the magazine- the tip of the bullet caught on the end of the chambered round.
Now- in retrospect the mags are new and the 8th bullet was tough to get in and probably sat up on a slight angle...at least- this is what my thinking is now.
But- to clarify...I should be able to have one in the chamber then top off the magazine, correct?
I need to clean her up now and go see the initial replies regarding holsters. I had a Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 for my HK that was pretty comfy.
