4" 617

If anyone is looking for a new 4" 617 for $819, greentop sporting goods in glen Allen, va has one in the show case now. Don't know how long it will last though.

Too late for me! Ordered a new 617 4" a week ago. Driving me crazy waiting. My gun shop said it could be weeks to months. I think I will check and see if their distributor has a list of order dates and where I stand on that list.

I had no problem finding one on GunBroker for $100 less, including shipping to my FFL. I'm very happy with it!

Yeah they marked theirs up, last month they were around $750.

I'm sure those in your area searching for a new 4 inch 617 appreciate the heads up. Hard to find one sitting in a case for long. You should be commended for thinking of your S&W brothers and sisters here.

Fortunately I have a no dash 4 inch that I really like so I am not in the market.

Yeah it's always easier to find one if you aren't looking. I have come across 4 in the past month, but like you I have one also a 6" -2. They are an excellent revolver, but I like my 5" 63-4 better. But it is a good trainer for my 6" 686-5+.

Thanks, I like them. Grips were made by Ahrends in Cocobolo with oil finish.

greentops used to be THE place to buy your guns from....then they sold,moved into the big abandoned gander mountain store and....priced their guns as if they were gander mountain....nice staff but they have gotten pricey
