4" and 6" 327 on an L Frame

As stated above. I've moved away from unobtainium 22 LR/Mag to the 32 for plinking and small game. I can load a 100 32s for the price of a box of 22 mag and with cast, a box of 22lr. The 22 is no longer an economical alterative an longer.

I'm not going to hold my breath waiting on S&W to make a 4" 327. But if they do, I'd rather see it on their K frame in stainless steel. I've given up on S&W though and am looking for a Ruger SP-101 in 327.

By Midway's current prices, if you load 1000 32 Mags using 3.5 gr of HP-38, Rainier 100gr bullets, CCI SP primers, & Starline brass (assuming 25 loads per case) it will cost about $133 per thousand. CCI Maxi-Mags are $210. Bigger savings with cast bullets, biggest savings if you cast your own.

I'd love a 8 shooter L frame in 327. Either barrel length and without a full underlug. Kinda a mini 627 sorta thing.

I'd like to see a .327 Mag made on a K-frame with a 6" Model 19/66 style barrel or even an 8-3/8" Model 53 style barrel. It would be a really nice all around gun, especially for anyone who wants to shoot varmints and small game, and is economical for plinking. The mild recoil certainly does not justify a heavy underlug barrel. An L-frame would not be a deal breaker for me as long as the barrel was not full underlug.

I also want a J-frame .327 Mag for the wife. I hope S&W listens before I wind up having to buy a Ruger.

They made a .327 J-frame...a Model 632-2(ported) and 632-3(fluted barrel).





but if you are lucky enough to find a Model 16-4, Bowens custom will rechamber it for very little expense....



The .327 Model 16 is a fabulous shooter...much tighter groups than the new Ruger Single Seven...

That Said::::
A stainless K-frame in .327 (616) or L-frame, 7-shot, even an N-frame 8-shot like the new 9mm guns.....great guns for a terrific cartridge.
Besides, they would make nice additions to my .32 collection.

K or L frame. 6 or 8 3/8" barrel. I would very much like a 10 5/8" AFS version, but fairly unlikely that'll happen as most folk don't shoot handguns at 100yards, much less 200m!
