I had a 19-3 for years. It had a pinned front sight that I replaced with a patridge and used it in service gun matches for years. Shot 158 SWC great.
I handed it down to a younger shooter when the 4" full lug 14s came out. Bet yours is a good shooter also..

She looks great! IMO the early Model 19s are the nicest .357s ever made. I own a 19-4, and also own a Python.

I have been close to a 19, but never owned 1. Had 66,13, but my go 2 is a 586 no dash, 4", Happy Birthday to you! Will be 72 soon. Bob

My 19-3 has been gussied up a bit with some magna style stags, although it'd be easy enough to revert to the correct target stocks like yours. It's hard to believe that as of next year, it'll be C&R eligible.

Welcome to the 19-3 Klub! I bought mine used 5 years ago ago and have thousands of rounds through it. The only problem with this 1976 revolver is that the ejector rod unscrews after shooting a couple of cylinders and is a little sticky. I sent it into Smith and Wesson last year (2024) for a tune up. They returned my revolver with a check listed note that states no parts available for this gun, unsafe to fire. That was a few hundred rounds ago.? I load my own here, wild to mild no problems.

Happy Birthday to you Sir! I have 4 19's, welcome to the club. 1 - 19-3, 2 - 19-4's and 1 - 19-5. All are excellent shooters! I had the Hogue monogrip on for just a little while and didn't like it. It now has it's original targets back on it. The 19-5 came with rubber pachmayr grips and I bought some Altamount's to replace them. Again, Welcome!!
