When the Shield Plus first came out they offered a Performance center version with a non-ported 4 inch barrel. I was hoping they would at some point make a regular version of that gun but instead the only 4 inch barrel models they sell are all ported Performance Center versions.

My Shield Plus in normally carried IWB so an extra inch of barrel would not make it that much harder to carry and could make the gun a bit easier to shoot well. I have a 2.0 Compact with a 4 inch barrel but its a much heavier gun so I do not carry it. The XL version of the 365 seems to sell well for Sig, I would think a 4 inch Shield Plus would sell well for S&W too. Porting adds noise at the range so I would rather have a non-ported version and I don't think the Performance Center versions are worth the extra money.

Agreed. I got an early non ported 4” Performance Center gun and have been very happy with it. I don’t know how the porting could make it shoot any flatter, the ergos are great.

A standard Shield slide/barrel will fit/work on a Shield Plus frame just fine.

I've set up two of them with 2.0 Shield 4" slides. I will say it's difficult to find a 4" barrel for the slide (bought mine as stripped slides).

The 4" Pluses are nice.

CDNN has stripped 4" 2.0 9mm optic-cut slides for a good price. However, as m1A4ME says, the 4" barrels are hard to find. If I could find a barrel I would get one of them.
